World of Warcraft TCG – Naxxramas
Card Highlight: Faerlina’s Madness

This simple headpiece for the cloth casters sees immediate usefulness in controlling pesky locations and denying card draw, while simultaneously allowing your formerly “useless” duplicate locations to have use. With so many decks packing more quests and locations to make use of the new mounts, this headpiece is definitely going to see constructed play.

The main advantages of this new piece of armor are:

1) Low cost prevention.

With a cost of only one, Faerlina’s Madness is actually a very convenient piece of armor to throw out to stop small amounts of damage. This is important as you can avoid abilities and equipment like Omens of  Terror, Taste of Arcana, Voidfire Wand, early damage from rush allies, and so on.

2) Free power.

Using the power of Faerlina’s Madness costs nothing but turning down one of your own resources. You might argue that you are losing your own draw potential, but the solution is to run four of the location you’ll want (thusly you can turn down a location and play a new one), and to run quests that provide large rewards but at high costs or combo conditions (meaning that early in the game you can afford to simply turn them down) such as In Defense of Halaa, Pure Evil, Junkboxes Needed, A Question of Gluttony (in the late game), Orders of Lady Vashj (if your hand is simply too large to whittle down), and so on.
