USA Fandom Conventions this Weekend – June 11 – 13, 2010

Looking for something to do this weekend? Believe it or not, almost every weekend there are dozens of fandom conventions occurring all over the world. Some are large corporate-run “official” conventions that may be hard to get into on short notice, and some are tiny fan-run conventions that would probably love to have a few more people show up. Below is a list of just some of the conventions happening this weekend in the United States and Canada, between June 11 – 13, 2010. Sci Fi Summer Atlanta
June 11 - 13, 2010
Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Marietta, Marietta, Georgia

Guests for this Georgia sci-fi con include Allen Belk, Kyle Puttkammer, Jon Adelung, Christina Barber, Ben Boardman, Bob Burden, Emilie Bush, Jonathan and Jessica Carroll, Lance McGrudder, Ralph Cruz, Ondie Daniel, Glenda C. Finkelstein, Sass Parilla the Singing Gorilla, and many more. Tickets are available at the door. It's $35 for the weekend, $15 for Friday or Sunday, and $20 for Saturday. Kids 12 years old and younger are free. There will be games, an arcade, an art show, panels, and more.

Official Twilight Convention - Minneapolis
June 11 - 13, 2010
Minneapolis Marriott, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Part of Creation Entertainment's "Twi-Tour," this Minneapolis Twilight convention has Kellan Lutz, Bronson Pelletier, Kiowa Gordon, Christopher Heyerdahl, and Michael Welch on the guest list. Gold Weekend Package tickets are still available for $289, which includes preferred seating, autographs and more. General admission tickets are available as well, and cost between $20 - $25 depending on which day you attend.
