This is the thirteenth part of 14. Everyday for the next 2 weeks we’ll be looking at a new show to air this winter season. Returning lets you know when the first episode of this year will air. It might vary in your region, and will probably repeat. What it’s about gives a brief synopsis. Use that to decide if you should read on. Current season lets you know how much you’ve missed if you haven’t been watching. What’s happened so far is a spoilerific in detail summary for those looking to jump on board. Don’t read it if you want to watch the show from the beginning. Why you should be watching lets you know what I think. And finally the Final verdict tells you whether I think you should watch.

Returning: April 2nd 2010

What it’s about: The third Stargate TV show, this one follows a batch of people trapped on a spaceship in a galaxy way too far away from Earth.

Current Season: Midway through Season 1

What’s happened so far: Doctor Rush led an expedition at a colony not on Earth. He found a ten symbol gate address that no one knew how to use. That is until some normal geek named Eli breaks the code in a video game, and the military recruited him.

The colony comes under attack, and Doctor Rush dials the 10 symbol address instead of dialing Earth. Doing so puts them on an automated Ancient ship galaxies away that is running out of power, air, food, and water. Now they have to fix the ship, and figure out the controls enough to find their way home.

I watched all of the episodes, and am still trying to figure out if I really like it or not. It is sort of BSG like in the style, which I'm not a fan of, but the idea is better executed than when it was used for Star Trek: Voyager.
