There are hundreds of comic book conventions happening each year in the United States, but very few superheros can say they have a whole weekend dedicated entirely to them. Superman Celebration is a fandom convention/event dedicated to one of the most legendary superheros: Superman. The event is happening June 10 - 13, 2010 in Metropolis, Illinois, at Superman Square and Market Street.

Guests for Superman Celebration 2010 include: Sam Witwer, Laura Dianne Vandervoort, Noel Neill, Ilya Salkind, Jeff Breslauer, Carmine Infantino, David Beaty, Josh Elder, Lin Workman, Adam Shaw, Gary Ernest Smith, Eddy Zeno, Trevor Hawkins, and many more.

There are several great events lined up for Superman Celebration 2010. Fans can expect to see a screening of Superman II, a costume contest (with a $1,000 prize), a Superman Celebration Fan Film Competition, a masquerade dance party, a 50s dance party, a Superman Road Race, a Superman bench press/deadlift weight competition, a Superman fans baseball game, and more. The costume contest is bound to be one the highlights of the weekend, especially with a $1,000 cash prize on the line. There is a $25 entry fee. Entry information will be available at the Chamber of Commerce on Friday and Saturday. Sign-in is from 10 am to Noon on Sunday at the Main Tent.
