Pokemon Black and White

I remember picking up Pokémon Blue version for my brick game boy about fifteen years ago. At face value it was a fun game filled with interesting creatures and items. At the time I did not understand how complex and deep the competitive play for that game was. As years went on the mechanics of the game only got more intense. I am now twenty one and have fallen back in love with the new generation of Pokémon not only for its nostalgia, but also for the amount of thought it takes to actually play competitively that my six year old self could not grasp.
Pokémon Black and White start you off with the same three choices as the past games have given you- Grass, Fire, and Water. Unlike previous versions, generation five does not mix in old Pokémon with the new ones until the original storyline is completed. There is a new set of over one hundred fifty Pokémon that you will be able to encounter before you come across any from generation four or earlier. This is the nostalgic factor that I greatly appreciate. I feel as if everything I’m doing is fresh, something previous generations after the first lacked. Furthermore, the Unova region itself, the region where the adventure takes place, is loosely based off of places in America. For example it is easy to make comparisons to Castelia city and New York City with its busy streets, tall buildings, and seaports. When asked about the American influence in the Unova region Pokémon director Junichi Masuda commented “…appealing to an international audience is one of the reasons, but there are also others, too. One is that I organise musical concerts in Japan based on the setting of the regions in the past titles, like Johto, Kanto and Hoenn.
Then I thought if I could hold another concert somewhere else, where should it be? And I thought perhaps New York would be a good place to choose. That's why we used the US as the setting for this new region. ” - http://www.computerandvideogames.com/292744/interviews/pokemon-when-i-made-black/white-i-wasnt-considering-existing-pokmon-users/
Sadly some of the nostalgia has gone from remembrance of the glory days to just overplayed plot. Team Rocket is long gone, but there is still a nefarious group of villains trying to take over the world by stealing people’s Pokémon, same story line, different characters. It would be nice to see a different plot in the next few generations, but highly unlikely. Why would the developers at Gamefreak mess with success?

I enjoyed your article however i might suggest putting a few pictures/gameplay screenshots and putting key words in bold to help spruce it up a bit. I've only seen a short look at Pokemon White/Black and I understand your take on that nostalgic feeling, and I don't think the tried and tested way of making a Pokemon game is going to change. I'll buy it for myself soon though.
