Gears of War 3 Release Date Announced

The release date for the upcoming threequel to Xbox's smash hit game Gears of War just got leaked today from none other than the Xbox Live Dashboard. It is allegedly set to release April 2011. That's an entire year from now. Good Grief.

Cliff Blezinski, Director at Epic games, was set to make an appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon", presumably to announce the release date of their new, and hotly anticipated game. The appearance was cancelled last minute, however, and rescheduled for April 12th, but it seems the Xbox Live Dashboard didn't get the memo, and an advertisment popped up with the news.

The post has since been taken down, and a comment from Cliffy B suggests that we can look forward to another big announcement from his appearance on Jimmy Fallon. Since no one has denied the alleged release date we can assume it to be fairly accurate. April 2011 will likely be a good month for gamers.
