Fast Food Panic DS: A Game Review

Who says creating a fast food restaurant is easy? Well, think again. Fast Food Panic DS gives you an insight on how to create, run, and ultimately satisfy the customers with your delicious food.

Fast Food Panic can be compared with Diner Dash, except players are the chef of the restaurant not the servers. As the only chef of the restaurant, players cook the food that the customers order and need to be quick about it. Players need to have two (2) traits in order to play the game successfully: Time Management and Multi-Tasking.
 

Time management is needed as the food items that are on the menu don’t cook at the same time. The great thing is that you can shift from cooking one food to another, cooking the food efficiently.
 

Also, you will have an assistant who helps you by directing her to clean up the mess of the customers, greeting them and yes, even chase after the mouse. Other than directing the assistant what to do in certain situations, players are also required to assist her when she shouts for help. Help can range from helping her enter numbers in a calculator; to food delivery to a nearby house; this is where multi-tasking comes in.
 

Despite the cute graphics, players will not be able to enjoy them as the food should be prepared properly. There are trigger sounds in the music that also cues players to perform another task while waiting for the food to cook. Although, trigger sounds like squeaking of the mouse to “Help Me!” shouts by the assistant gets to get annoying from time to time.
 

One of the disappointments of the game is that the actual game itself is so short, but it was remedied by having different levels of toughness. Another disappointment is that the mini-games are more enjoyable than the game itself.

In all its flaws, Fast Food Panic DS is a pleasant casual gaming that you can let go once you finished one of the levels. Players might get overwhelmed with a lot of things going on in the game, but it can be enjoyed nonetheless.
