Icons of the gaming industry, Bungie and Activision have signed an exclusive contract concerning a brand new intellectual property from Bungie and a new worldwide opportunity for Activision.

Bungie, critically acclaimed developers of the massively popular Halo franchise have signed a partnership deal with one of the industry's leading publishers, Activision, giving Activision exclusive publishing and distribution rights for a secret new intellectual property that Bungie is working on at the moment. Through this contract, Bungie will retain full rights to this secret, new intellectual property and Activision will be the only publisher with rights to distribute it anywhere in the world.

This deal is the biggest thing to happen to Bungie since their split with Microsoft back in 2007, and this deal also marks Bungie's first partnership deal with any other corporation since their time with Microsoft.

This deal is also incredibly beneficial for Activision since the incredibly popular developers Infinity Ward have recently begun to collapse with the team leaders West and Zampella leaving.

Both companies are incredibly enthusiastic about this new partnership.Harold Ryan, president of Bungie said “We chose to partner with Activision on our next IP because of their global reach, multi-platform experience and marketing expertise,” while Activision-Blizzard's COO Thomas Tippl said "Bungie has developed some of the most compelling and successful games, multiplayer experiences and thriving fan communities, and this alliance underscores our long-standing commitment to foster the industry’s best creative talent. Our unprecedented partnership with Bungie will enable us to broaden our pipeline of exciting new games as we continue to strengthen our industry position and pursue long-term growth opportunities."
