Article: Ozone Gaming Gear - Oxid Headphones

Fortune has smiled upon me and gifted me with a brand new pair of gaming headphones in this last week, specifically the Oxid gaming headphones produced by Ozone Gaming. A rather snazzy pair of headphones, if I do say so myself.

Not only am I a frequent online gamer, I also constantly listen to music when I'm not gaming, as such I am usually wearing a pair of headphones for one purpose or another. Over the past few years of nigh-on constantly wearing headphones I have realised the most prominent and/or important pros and cons of wearing such headgear for long periods of time and it can generally be broken down into a few categories: Comfort, Ease of Use, Physical Quality and Sound Quality.

Generally I wear a pair of old Logik headphones since they're comfy, simple and have brilliant sound quality (though they began to fall apart around last December. Luckily I have plastic cement!). They're not professional gaming headphones. I gave up on the idea of gaming headphones a long time ago because they've never offered me anything that a normal pair of headphones couldn't, and I often ask myself "What's the point behind most gaming gear?". The Oxid headphones may have somewhat turned this around for me. (Those spoilt by luxury, eh?)

Following the four parameters I've already set out, let's see how they ranks up:

Comfort:

- I can in no way fault these headphones for their comfort. The speakers are well padded with a synthetic material that breathes well and rests lightly on the skin making it more difficult for them to distract you whilst you're in the middle of a game.

- The band between the speakers is thoroughly padded with a perforated material that doesn't stick to your skin. Overall the headphones are light as well making them great for long gaming sessions.
