TV Spotlight: South Park

This is the eleventh part of 14. Everyday for the next 2 weeks we’ll be looking at a new show to air this winter season. Returning lets you know when the first episode of this year will air. It might vary in your region, and will probably repeat. What it’s about gives a brief synopsis. Use that to decide if you should read on. South Park

Returning: March 10th 2010

What it’s about: An animated comedy about a hick town in Colorado. The show follows four boys, and their messed up friends and family.

Current Season: Starting season 14

What’s happened so far: Being an animated show, like Family Guy, very few things permanently effect the show. For instance, for many of the earlier seasons, the fourth boy Kenny would die at some point during every episode. Then one season, as a running joke, they killed him off at the beginning of the season, and no one saw him again till the end of the finale, when he finally showed up and everyone was like “Hey Kenny, where were you?” After that, he no longer dies in every episode.

Cartman is the fat guy of the group. His mom is a single mom, and apparently a slut. Cartman is an evil master mind. One time an eighth grader was giving Cartman a hard time, so he killed the kids parents, turned them into chili, and tricked the kid to eat his own parents. Cartman also had the kids favourite band show up at that exact moment to make fun of him for crying. It was the ultimate revenge, and it’s still brought up sometimes even today.
