The Top 10 Moments in LOST
I, like many others, watched the Sky1 premiere of the Lost finale 'The End' at its 5 am simulcast time. I then had the misfortune of watching the Top 10 show broadcast after it, marring only slightly the satisfaction that came with the end of the episode. It did leave me, however, with an intense desire to write my own list of my top 10 moments, which is what I present to you here. It won't be to everyone's agreement, so I invite you to come up with your own lists, as although I have spent the best part of a week mentally scouring through episodes in my head I'm sure there are one or two moments I left out.
Firstly though, I'd like to mention Charlie's death (Through the looking glass pt. 2 - Se 3 ep 23) as I was wrestling with the idea of putting this in the list, but due to it being 3 years and 3 seasons later and I'm still not quite over it, I have decided to leave it out.
TOP 10 MOMENTS IN LOST:
10) “Some Like it Hoth.” – Some Like it Hoth (season 5 episode 13)
One of the greatest things about Lost was the sheer amount of Star Wars references, and this was the absolute peak. Everyone was watching season 5 and thinking if they were in Jack or Hurley’s position they would just stick it out in the 70s and make a fortune on Microsoft stock, so it was amazing to see a nod to that in Hurley’s wish to write the greatest Star Wars film of all time. Also, I could have tried to think of a(n attempt at a) witty reference for the title of this moment, but the episode title itself is just too good.
9) “Dharma Bums.” – Tricia Tanaka is Dead (se 3 ep 10)

What was in my opinion one of the most touching moments of the show came in Tricia Tanaka is Dead when Sawyer returned from the Hydra to be met with “Dude, you’re alive!” and a bear hug from Hurley. It was a great testament to Hurley’s character to see him so ecstatic that someone as disliked as Sawyer was still alive. This episode also gave us the comedy gold of Jin’s English lesson: “Beer... Car... [gesturing to Hurley] International house of pancakes...”.
