The Top 10 Comics That Should be Made Into Movies

The top 10 list. Like most popular ideas, it is very simple, and loaded with potential for controversy and discussion. Me? I love both of those things, so with the preamble out of the way, and with another season of comic book films upon us…a Top 10 list of comic movies that should be made!

10. Marvel Zombies

Granted, the comic series jumped the shark around volume 3 (or maybe Dark Days for some of you), but the movie potential is still rife for this concept. Plus there’s still some life (haha! yeah ok…overdone pun) left in the genre at the box office for now. Strike while the iron is hot Marvel and bring out the grizzly looking versions of that tasty IP Disney just bought!

9. Thunderbolts

Marvel wants to do team movies? Cool. But you know what’s going to happen immediately after right? DC is going to go do “Justice League” and the audience will be looking for the next “twist”. Thunderbolts provides the perfect twist: a group of villains who pretend to be heroes but find themselves actually WANTING to be heroes. Then after the original Thunderbolts have played themselves out you can invent some reason to do the post-Civil War Thunderbolts where you have depraved psychopath villains pretending to be heroes while trying to conceal the fact that they’re psychotic villains. Brand new concept to super people films that will make tons of bucks.

8. Suicide Squad

Really this is the original template for the post-Civil War T-Bolts. This could easily be DC’s answer to Marvel if they do Thunderbolts, or it’s something they could get out there first. Plus, it gives DC the ability to “recycle” villains used in prior films, or the third stringers that will never make the big franchise pictures (which would be better since that makes them expendable and puts the “Suicide” into the Squad). Betrayal, espionage, and death. These are the sorts of things that those popular Bourne movies were based off of. Cash in DC by dusting off this old fan favorite!
