Star Wars the Clone Wars: Season 2 Finale and the Season as a Whole

With the conclusion of the second season of Star Wars the Clone Wars, I thought I'd take a second to look at the final hour long episode and then the series as a whole.

The rundown: Young Boba Fett has returned seeking revenge for the death of his father, Jango Fett, at the hands of Mace Windu. Last episode he'd sabotaged the Star Cruiser Mace and Anakin are on and now it plummets towards a planet. All have evacuated except for the Admiral and the flight crew, who stupidly insist on going down with their ship. This episode opens with Mace and Anakin searching the wreckage only to be caught in a trap set by Boba and his bounty hunter crew. R2-D2 must then come to the rescue of the Jedi, outwitting both beast and bounty hunter.  The second half of the episode features Plo Koon and Ahsoka Tano as they attempt to track down Boba and the bounty hunters and free the Admiral and his crew who've they've taken hostage.

The Good:

R2-D2. He is amazing as he takes on the beasts of the planets and even the bounty hunters themselves while keeping Mace and Anakin safe. Eventually (following a dog fight with the bounty hunters in the Slave I) R2 even brings help for the trapped and injured Jedi.

The Bounty Hunters. While this season claimed to be the "rise of the bounty hunters," I felt that there just wasn't enough of it. I was hoping to get more Cad Bane at the end of this season but it was not to be. However, we got someone nearly as good with Aurra Sing. I've loved Aurra Sing since her debut in Dark Horse comics. She is one of the few Star Wars characters created in comics that George Lucas liked so much he put into the films (the other being Aayla Secura). She's cold, mean and nasty--brutal as a bounty hunter should be. The rest of her crew is cool, especially Bossk, who is underused but still cool to see here.

Ahsoka and Plo. Ahsoka only has one appearance in the latter half of this season--besides the last one--and I could really feel her absence. She is the heart of this series and having her appear so little really harmed the back half episodes. I didn't realize until I saw her how much I missed her. I do really like Plo Koon too. He is exact opposite of Ahsoka and Anakin so it's really nice to see their "Jedi styles" bouncing off one another.

Wow why dont you just trash the entire Jedi order, Mace Windu at times can be cold especially to Anakin, but for good reason cause Anakin is a cocky show off, who goes against Jedi orders all the time, he then goes onto kill Mace for trying to kill a sith lord and kills several of young jedi...but u feel bad for him...And he also had to kill Jengo, because he was trying to kill hime... and after seeing episode three i find it extremely difficult to forgive Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi...You do have some very good points though, they kinda just stopped using Bane whos awesome, and Ahsoka too, I do kind of believe that Lucas is trying to hint at the Jedi being so involved in the conflict, when there supposed to be keepers of the peace...I mean how can you hate on the Jedi like Yoda and Obi-Wan, who stand for all that is good
