Review:
Glee - The Music: Christmas Album

As we see the snow fall, the lights shine, and the shoppers race through the stores we can only realize that its Christmas time once again, and one of the most important elements of the holiday being the wonderful music that comes from it. That being said, the popular show Glee has released a Christmas album of their own containing their spin on holiday hits, which are also suppose to appear in a Christmas special of their own next month. But is this the album that you want to define your holiday season? Or is it something you can do without?
Right as you pop in the Glee Christmas Album you automatically get the feeling that this is Christmas and the Glee cast does an amazing job of doing that as well as lifting your spirits during this holiday season. Don’t expect to find just the classics though, the setlist this time ranges from everything to the famed Christmas Special tunes, mash-ups of their own creation, and even classic gospel tunes that you rarely here today. I must say though, the second I heard Glee was doing a Christmas Album I was extremely skeptical that they would only do those classic songs we hear every year rather than be original like they ended up doing, which was easily the best way for them to go. So now let’s dive head first into this Christmas album and look at some of the top songs on the soundtrack.

1.) The Most Wonderful Day of the Year (originally from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer) -
When I was first skimming through the titles on this album I read this was “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” so I thought I would hear a decent take on a classic carol, but was I wrong. The second the track turned to this I was blown away by this take on a classic Christmas Special. It was so beautifully done and took me by surprise that it became my favorite track on the whole album and made the purchase worth every penny.
