Full of Glee - Soundtrack Volume 3

Hello all you Gleeks out there! Now if you haven’t heard (or are just not a fan of the show), the second part of season one of the series is just hitting its half-way mark and with that comes a new soundtrack with the music from the ever popular TV show. If you haven’t heard of Glee yet (I’d be shocked), it’s a show about the adventures of an up and coming show choir group that performs their own versions of popular songs while dealing with the drama of high school and being humiliated for doing what they love. The show itself is simply amazing and the music is just breath-taking. From powerful Broadway musical numbers to the pop hits of Lady Gaga, this soundtrack literally has everything you could want for your musical tastes.

Before I give my final opinions on the album, I want to go into a bit of detail on some of the major tracks on the disc:

1.) Hello Goodbye (Originally by The Beatles)

If you remember from the beginning of the first season of Glee, the poster song from the whole series at the time was “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Now in part two of the season they come out just as big with this hit from The Beatles. Whether or not you’re a die hard fan of the band themselves (myself not being one, don’t shoot me for it) you can all agree that this is the perfect feel good song to start the second part of the season out. Its nearly impossible to listen to the song and not be able to smile, it’s a great way to start out an album such as this.

2.) Gives You Hell (Originally by The All-American Rejects)

Being already a huge fan of the song itself I might sound a little biased giving my opinion on it, but honestly I was nervous that this song would only disappoint me when I first heard it. Taking the song away from its usual rock genre and giving it more of a female pop twist turned out to be really amazing. This version is honestly what a cover is all about; it resembles the original and can still be taken as its own song. Not to mention that whenever the full chorus comes towards the end I get chills, and it takes a really good song to give me goose bumps like that.

Wow, I must need new glasses or something, cause I could have SWORN you said that Bad Romance was aweful. But that's just the faulty lenses, right? You actually said it was the best song on the album, right? RIGHT?
Anyway, you really are a true blogger now. I'm so proud -wipes tear away-
Oh yeah, one last thing...

See, this just goes to show how different musical tastes are. I LOVED Bad Romance and didn't care for Poker Face at all.
