Ok den, it’s time for da drunken gama to doa propa scored review of Warhamma Online:Age of Reckonin’ (WaR)As you will ’ave read before, when testin’ a game I tend to go for da biggest an’ ugliest class an’ race available, dis time dat is dagreenskins of da Destruction faction, an’ aparticularly ’ideous lookin’ Orc. Da carea paf of da Orc is Black Orc, a nastybrutish melle class dat specialises in poundin’ da livin’ snot out of da enemy ……OK I tried I really did, but there is no way Icould keep this up and write the whole reviewin ‘Orcish’, even though some people felt itwas a bit of a cop-out last issue not to attemptit.As an Orc you start in an area known asBloodhorn Mountain, which is heavilyinhabited by Stunties (or Dwarfs to me &you), bandit camps, various tribes and clansof Orcs and Goblins.This starting area, as all do, really sets the tone for the whole game.Your starting camp is right there at the frontlines of the battle, siege weapons being built and fired at the enemy, Orcs charging down the hills after dwarfs, goblins breeding squigs to take into battle. All of this gives you a feeling that your part of something bigger.As mentioned in the preview there are also Public quests and you are introduced tothese extremely early in WAR. These are not end game pieces ... they are a core feature of the game!Just in-case the above gibberish went over your head, the Black Orc is a melee class that specialises in beating the living-tar out of the enemy with powerful blows, chained together for maximum impact. While being a fairlysimple mechanic to begin with, it soon growsin complexity as you have to decide the bestchoice of move to chain in at the right time.
