The Greatest Warlord will Emerge in the W3KSEA “Rise of the Warlords” Tournament

In my previous post Players to Relive the Romance of the Three Kingdoms in W3KSEA, I mentioned Asiasoft Online’s first ever Warriors of the 3 Kingdoms SEA (W3KSEA) open tournament as the company’s token of appreciation for the gamers who have supported the free-to-play action strategy massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). The tournament will be held at the Suntec City Tropics Atrium, Suntec City Mall, Singapore, and will be part of the company’s efforts to reach out to the gaming community.

Initially, the tournament was set as a team Player-vs.-Player (PvP) contest. However, due to overwhelming requests from the Heroes (the players), the organizers have replaced the team battle into an individual competition, dubbed “Rise of the Warlords – Every Warrior for Himself”, wherein the overall winner will take the title “Greatest Warlord”.

The goal is simple: Accumulate the highest number of kills within five minutes to emerge as the ultimate warlord.

The gameplay is as follows: During the game, the players can choose to play in any Heroes Battleground map. Each round will last five minutes. A grace period of one minute will be given for players to move to the battleground. Upon the start of the tournament, Heroes should kill as many opponent heroes as they can. The players will be allowed potions and buffs for their heroes.

Now, the good thing is that players are allowed to re-queue for unlimited number of tries for the duration of the event. The highest number of kills achieved from any one round will be taken as the final score.

Personal keyboards and joypads (Plug and Play only) are allowed. The queue will close at 4:30pm on the event day, and winners will be announced at 5pm.

Prizes and glory

The Champion Warlord will receive S$150 in cash, one Champion’s Medal, and a W3KSEA T-shirt, depending on the Nation of his or her Hero. Apart from that, the Champion will receive five pieces of Strong Gem Lv4, which is used during refining of weapons to increase ATK stat.
