Pirates Burning Sea Testbed Event

Date: 27 Jan 2010
The swashbuckling MMO title Pirates of the Burning Sea is set to have another testbed event for anyone wishing to test out new game features.

The event is going to be a PvP one only, but all players will be given a ship and outfittings to play with. It's designed to test out a new mast damage system that Flying Lab has been working on as well as the National Player Faction and Active Nation systems.

Anyone wishing to take part should get on the Testbed server between 3pm and 5pm Pacific (11pm – 1am GMT) on Thursday, January 28th. Those who do come will be rewarded with a title on their main character, offering a choice: either “Sheriff of the Sea” or “Chicken of the Sea.”

Pirates of the Burning Sea is a seafaring massive multiplayer online RPG, that sees players taking to the Carribean ocean in their own vessels to trade, fight and smuggle. Be them national or pirate, gamers can spend their time doing missions for booty, fighting NPCs in the open sea, or taking on other players in their heavily outfitted ships of the line. Live events have recently been introduced, and a large expansion allowing players to take over their own ports is due to be released in a couple of months time.
