Crafting Soon to Include High-end Items in S.U.N. Online’s Major Contents Update
Two of the most interesting things in Soul of the Ultimate Nation Online (S.U.N. Online)—one of the best (and probably the best, actually) free-to-play (F2P) massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) available today for all of us online game fanatics—are Crafting and Enhancement. However, one post is not enough to describe both, so I will talk about the Crafting feature of the game first.
The Crafting menu.
Compared to Webzen’s other MMORPG, MU Online, crafting in S.U.N. Online is easier and has different options such as Accessories, Jewels, Enhancement Items, Special Accessories, Kalbus’s Special Accessories, Potions, Special Items, Elite Items and Mission Quest Crafting Items. Most importantly, some items, especially the basic and midrange ones, are easier to do; provided you have the required ingredients. Well, I do believe that you will have the said ingredients because, as one objective in S.U.N. Online is the completion of Area Conquests in each map, these items will drop every once in a while during your run and reruns of the quests, killing of Mob Captains, and killing of specific characters, such as Dark Nacrat, Lucky Slime, etc.
Some elite items.
Examples of these ingredients or items required are five pieces each of the Beast’s Key, Darkness Key, and Ice Key. Upon collecting these five pieces, one can go to the Crafting NPC, select the key you want to craft, pay the required cost in heims, and voila! You now have a key, which is needed in the Treasure Box (the other set is the corresponding Map); the completion of which will provide you with a treasure trove of items.
While each area in S.U.N. Online has four main quests to complete, wherein you are required to kill bosses, the Area Conquest feature of the game enables you to retry/rerun the quests numerous times (10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 times) and gives you a particular item (Ring or Necklace) under the “Mission Quest Crafting Item” category of Crafting. These rings or necklaces that you will be able to craft upon every two series of quest completion in a particular map can be ranked up (under the “Ranking” option in the “Enhancement” feature of the game, the details of which I will be discussing in my succeeding posts) so that you can have higher-grade items. (I know, I know, the explanation seems pretty complex; it is actually far simpler if you will just go and try the game, then you will know what I was talking about.)
