What's better than 90 ton robots running around shooting each other for the dominance of the known galaxy? Well, that's what you will find in this game by an independent game developer, who calls himself ReLoad, in the game of Invasion3042.

Invasion3042 is a free-to-play text based MMO game with lots of graphics and features. It is a take on the classic Battletech game by FASA Studios and now owned by Wizkids. You are given an empire to rule and placed in the universe to develop into a full blown powerhouse. You are given the choice to side with the Inner Sphere, a bunch of corporations and noble houses of rich and powerful families, or side with The Clans, who are the tribes and small groups of outsiders who live on the fringes of space.

Whatever it is you decide to do, you will spend hours on end fighting and developing and conquering other people's planets.

It's got a bit of a learning curve, but there are lots of people in the game who will help you out to get started. The main parts of the game take a little while to get used to, but overall it brings back the feelings I used to have about the game Mechwarrior way back in the day (except now I'm in control of my empire and training and sending others to there deaths for the glory of my empire).
