APB: All Points Bulletin

Date: 2 Dec 2009
Which do you prefer more; Tearing up the streets killing pretty much everyone and everything that gets in your way? Or protecting the innocent and upholding the law?

APB, or All Points Bulletin to call it by its full name, promises to deliver a substantial experience no matter what your answer is to the above questions. Set in the fictional city of San Paro, the game revolves around two factions; Criminals and Law Enforcers, allowing up to 100 players at a time to choose their side and battle it out for domination of the city. Couple this scale with the in depth customisation available straight off the bat and you have a recipie for what could be 2010's standout MMO.

As with any good MMO there are ways to increase your cash on the fly, with side missions always available for players to take up. An interesting (and rather exciting) point to note is that while a side mission for Criminal players might be 'Rob this store', the side mission for the Law Enforcement players will then be to prevent said robbery from taking place. In this way, each mission will have an overall effect on the entire game population.

The game is being developed by Realtime Worlds; creators of the original Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown and is due for release on PC by March 2010. Realtime Worlds have also announced that while there will be an Xbox 360 version, although they will be releasing it at a later date than the PC version.
