Altis Gates Preview and Review

The first thing I noticed on Altis Gates is that it is cute, and somehow cool, but not what hardcore gamers will consider “rad”! A turn-based 2.5D fantasy MMORPG developed by IGG, Altis Gates is something like a game directly out of an anime from TV. Even its background story is anime material too, with the world of Altis, after witnessing the rise and fall of three eras: the Golden Age, the Silver Age and the Bronze Age, still experiencing the flames of war that continues to rage among the three races—the Borgs, Humans and Elves—who have fought for glory and supremacy of the land.

Overall, I don’t consider the game high-end, but it is definitely “Passable”. And having said that, likeable. Of the abovementioned three races, you have 14 different classes to choose from, once you decided to play this game. Also, you will get to have the trademark IGG feature, the pet system, wherein you will have a pet that fights along with you (mine is a Jack Rabbit Cub).

It is currently on its Closed Beta right now (Feb. 2 to Feb. 11), and although I haven’t really been playing the game intently (I signed up for the CB), I find myself enjoying the game. And indeed, it is actually quite easy and straightforward. That’s what I’ve liked about Altis Gates. For instance, when you start playing the game, you will have to undergo quests to gain items and level up. Of course, like any other MMORPG, you will have to go to certain NPCs to get the quest info, and then to go to a specific place to do the quest. In your Quest menu, you will see the specific quest you need to undertake and NPC to visit.

Now, here’s where the game gets straightforward. The name of the NPC involved in your quest or the place you need to visit for your quest is “linked” to the map, therefore in pointing and clicking on the said NPC or destination will immediately command your character to go to wherever it is—be it crossing several maps from the main city.

I liked the game so far from what I've tried, and as for full screen I believe there is an option for this in the system settings which can be accessed by pressing esc and looking in the bottom right hand corner.

Great review! The screen is actually resizable, just drag your mouse along the edges and change it to whatever size you like.

Or you can always right click the bar at the top of the screen, and select change size ( Not sure if it says that, since mine displays things in dutch and thats just my translation )

Good review, about the full screen. In order to access it you have to go to system options.
And yea the fact that your armor doesnt show is a little bit annoying. There isnt even body fashion to change it. I hope they fix that.
