Altis Gates (http://ag.igg.com) is a 2.5D turn-based MMORPG due to be published soon by IGG. It is set in an ancient European-style world filled with stories and legends. The land of Altis takes design cues from classical European architecture, but with a modern twist. On the Altis continent there live 3 races, including 14 classes for players to choose from. Chock full of fun features, cool graphics and epic tales, Altis Gates is an exciting new addition to the fantasy MMO genre.

Graphics

The world of Altis Gates is rich in color. Buildings vary from dim, dreary gray to bright, eye-catching yellow. Most wilderness scenes feature vibrant hues. On their journeys, players will notice meandering azure streams, lush green grasslands, and a colorful array of plants and animals. Dynamic visual effects add to the realism, such as smoke curling up from kitchen chimneys, glowing magical artifacts, undulating waves and revolving windmills. In contrast to most existing 2D games, the graphics in Altis Gates are a cut above, thanks to the way the developers took advantage of DirectX technology and an exquisite 3D advanced particle system to design the graphic effects of combat abilities and spells.

Controls and Combat System

As a 2.5D turn-based game, the controls in Altis Gates are mainly activated using mouse clicks and shortcut keys. One important function available to players is the Autotrack system. Links in most quest descriptions guide players to their target locations, helping players to complete quests faster. In addition, players can use a combination of automatic movement and fighting functions to go as many as 255 rounds without having to input new commands, giving players more options for making progress without having to constantly micromanage their characters when their time and attention are limited.
