How does a company describe itself?
On one side, you want to tell the world that you're the best at what you do, provide the best service and always do the right thing. You also want the world to know you're kind to small animals and are conscious of CO2 emissions. But on the other hand, you also don't like yelling too loudly about who you are and what you do, because the it's always nicer when you're brilliant enough that everybody knows your name. At Palnatoke, we can't make that claim to brilliance, but we can make several claims to solid workmanship and innovation. As a manufacturer of latex weapons for live action role playing, we have always focused on three main factors:
- Security
- Durability
- Usability
These three have one interesting thing in common. They're all invisible to the consumer and won't become apparent until years have gone by. Because while design and price are something anyone can judge just by looking at a sword, it takes expertise to know if a weapon will pass security standards, it takes time to realise that a weapon is durable and it takes combat to find out of it's actually usable.
Our vision is to make weapons that excel in these three categories, and this means that you – as the costumer – don't need to worry about those three things. You can just focus on finding a weapon that pleases both your eye and your wallet – the rest we've taken care of. And we believe it's the right choice, even if it means it'll take you a few years for us to gain your respect, because our focus is on the invisible.
Our high demands for security, durability and usability have naturally led to a focus on engineering and innovation – because standards are always improving, and we strive to be the ones improving. Our CEO and Lead Designer, Kristoffer Benzon, has more than 20 years of experience with special effects and inventions – of these more than 10 years doing latex weapons specifically, and this means we often succeed in this goal of being first.
