Well the first thing you need is a school. If you don’t work in a school the mechanics will be lots different but some of the ideas will be useful.

A place

You are going to need space. Not the expanse filled with balls of gas millions of light-years away, but enough space to be able to wield a sword overhead without smashing a light fitting, which whilst entertaining if you are watching, will mean a bill and some paperwork. In a school you are best off using the theatre or the sports hall especially if you want to use bows.

A Time
Again this might seem obvious but you need to pick a time that is convenient to you. The last thing you want to do is turn the club into a chore. Try and pick a time that will mean you won’t let the students down either, it gets them ratty.

Equipment

To start with it would be good to seek investment from the head of about £500 but it’s not vital at this stage. If you are a L.A.R.Per chances are you will have some of your own weapons. Take them along and let the kids hit each other with your guidance very soon you will gain the attention of a lot of students. When you can see a definite group of ten or so you have the core of your L.A.R.P. Group. Now’s the time to try for some money!

There will be a number of avenues you could try...

I want to start a larping group at my school because the idea is facinating to me. The thought of being you're own villlage, and having so much say in what happens in and to that village, no matter how much say you have in the real world. The only worry I have is that I don't know many people that would want to join. I'm sure, though, that there are many kids who would find this activity fun. I could probably even, with parental permission and help, make it a club and kids from all over the county could join. I just hope it works out.
