Avast there ye scurvy scum there be another event a brewin’

Bandits, Brigands & Buccaneers is back at Fort Widley, Portsmouth, 25th to 27th September 2009

The enactment game experience continues… bigger, bolder and better than before

more adventures, more competition, more entertainment
more layers to corruption & extortion,
more layers of duplicity & intrique

Hear be some of the tales told of the last…

“… in short;
Piracy, Extortion, Militia corruption, Midnight raids, Giant lobster attacks, A pirate ship, a fort, underground tunnels, Toll gates, Fantastic costume, Robbery, Buckling of the swash, the smell of black powder, canon, and a fantastic time…..”

“come on boy and girls lets froth shall we…..all in all a good fun event looking forward to September”

“Aye I absolutely loved the event…”

“Generally speaking the weekend was a total hoot and I loved it...”

“I’m confident in saying that larpers and re-enactors alike enjoyed the event and I for one really liked having the chance to meet re-enactors of all kinds and to get into the spirit of the game with them”

“…the whole weekend was a great laugh…..for the skyline battle, as far as I know this is the first time that anyone has achieved the combined black powder and steel display battle with the (almost) seamless transition to a latex sword and capgun fight.”

“Just to say how much I enjoyed the weekend. I am from a re-enactment background…..This event allowed re-enactors and LARPers to achieve a much-needed cross-over…”

“Can I make it clear to all who missed out on BBB, they missed out on the most fun I have had in a LARP event ever. To all who were there thank you, from myself and all the Barbary corisairs (crazy turkish pirates). We know we would be the butt of all jokes and blamed for everything, still most crime we were guilty included: Great gate coin heist, The miltia tent heist, Casino robbery, Mortsroom hunts, jail break, control of town and scams of public coins.”

“To be honest, I was initially doubtful about taking part as I've never been involved with LARP (although 1st-person LH can be pretty similar), but all doubts seemd to have disappeared early on Friday evening, and I had a whale (or mayhap a giant lobster) of a time and the next one is in the diary as a "must do. Many thanks to everyone involved.”
