Although The Convention Fans Blog is based in the United States (and Alltern8 is based in the UK), I wanted to take an entry to highlight some upcoming fandom conventions in the Toronto area of Canada (all of the conventions below are within 120 miles of Toronto). I'll be doing the same for other areas of Canada in the future!

FilKONtario is Ontario's science fiction and fantasy music convention. Guests include Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff, Erica Neely, and Mark Simmons. Events include a Filk Hall of Fame concert, a Hall of Fame Banquet, concerts, The Penguin Award Songwriting Contest, an Interfilk Auction, open filking, and even some kid's programming.
