Convention Fans:
The Official Star Trek Convention: Creation's Las Vegas Trek Con

Jeri Ryan (Star Trek Voyager's 7 of 9) to appear at Official Star Trek Convention in 2010Creation Entertainment is the host of the Official Star Trek Convention, held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. For 2010, it is happening August 5 - 8, 2010 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel (even though the Hilton no longer has the Star Trek Experience exhibit).

Just as with years past, the 2010 con is shaping up to be another blockbuster convention for Trek fans. I mean, it really doesn't get much better than having William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy on the guest list, does it?

Oh... but apparently is does. Guess who else is on the guest list for 2010? Star Trek: Voyager's Jeri Ryan (7 of 9). She's probably more difficult to book than Bill and Leonard, if we're being honest. And you won't believe what she charges for a photo with her. But we'll get to that later.

Other guests for the 2010 Official Star Trek Convention include: Nana Visitor, Jonathan Frakes, Dominic Keating, Armin Shimerman, Connor Trinneer, Alice Krige, Rene Auberjonois, James Darren, Garrett Wang, Andrew Robinson, Jennifer Lien, and a handful of other Trek guest stars of the past. Creation's website states that "many more" will be added.

Amazingly, some of the uber Gold Weekend Package tickets still exist, but don't expect them to last long. Despite being priced at a staggering $699, Creation will sell them all long before the con. A Gold Weekend Package gets you:
1. The very best reserved seating for daytime convention Main Auditorium Events
2. Complimentary in person autographs from at least 12 of the attending celebrities
3. Admission to various special parties and events
4. Special limited edition collectors item
5. Your own “Creation Trek-Treat Card” filled with free gifts and bonus offer
6. Pre-Registration fun the night before the convention and a few more doodads and extras.

Other ticket packages won't even become available until most of the Gold Weekend Package tickets sell. However, there are usually ticket options ranging from under $100 a day, all the way up to that Gold price of $699.

Way too pricey for me. It's sad that they get away with charging this kind of money. Most people definitely can't afford it. If this has to cost money, I am saving it for my picture-with-Frakes quest.
