Highlights from Felicia Day's Saturday Q&A at Farpoint (Part 2)
Below is part two of a series of highlights from Felicia Day's Saturday Q&A session at Farpoint, a Maryland (USA) fan-run science fiction and fantasy convention. Since it was an hour long, not every single question and answer is represented here, and not all answers are in full (some were quite long). However, I've tried to select the “best of” to share with you. Click here to go back and read part 1.
Felicia on her character in the Legend of Neil web series...
“So if you're not familiar with Legend of Neil, don't show your children. Don't show your children. [Laughs] Legend of Neil is a web series originated by Sandeep Parikh, who plays Zaboo in The Guild. He co-writes and directs all the episodes and produces everything. And he had actually done that before I even did The Guild. Or, kind of around the same time I did The Guild. And it's a very funny, very adult humored show about a guy who gets sucked into a game of Zelda and has to fight his way out. He's kind of a loser guy. How he gets into the game, I'm not going to describe, but it's very naughty. […] So I wrote Sandeep a part in my web series, a series regular part, and he wrote me a guest star in his series. Which is fine.
“But I play a very naughty fairy. Very dirty mouthed, naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty fairy. And I have to wear this terrible outfit, which is like: 'Could you please get me a better outfit?' But, it's fine! And you know, I'm like this tall [gestures], and just a nasty little fairy. And the cool thing is that in season 2 there was a musical episode that he did that was kind of inspired by Dr. Horrible, and there's some really good songs in it, and I sing a very nasty song in that. I really enjoy doing that because it's not a character that would be normal for me to play, I usually play 'the good girl'. Which I am in real life, but being able to play a very nasty fairy on screen is like: 'Yes I've done it'.” [Laughs]
