FedCon - Europe's Biggest Star Trek and Sci-Fi Convention

Although The Convention Fans Blog is mostly geared towards fandom conventions in the US and Canada, I wanted to take a moment to post about FedCon, which is Europe's biggest Star Trek and sci-fi convention.

This year, FedCon is being held April 30 - May 2nd, 2010, at the Maritim Hotel Bonn in Germany. FedCon is celebrating it's 19th year in 2010.

Since FedCon is so popular, it's not surprising that they have managed a rather impressive guest list. Some of the guests currently scheduled to appear include: Luciana Carro (Battlestar Galactica), Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica), James Darren (Star Trek: DS9), James Marsters (Buffy, Torchwood), David Hewlett (Stargate), Terry Farrell (Star Trek: DS9), Michael Dorn (Star Trek: DS9), Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica), Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica), Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica), Gordon Michael Woolvett (Andromeda), Cliff Simon (Stargate), Chase Masterson (Star Trek: DS9), Tsuneo Sanda (artist), David Messina (Star Trek Countdown), Harry Groener (Buffy, Star Trek: Enterprise), Manu Intiraymi (Star Trek: Voyager), Suzie Plakson (Star Trek: TNG), and more.

Please note that although Babylon 5 star Jerry Doyle was originally scheduled to appear, he has since canceled.

Tickets are currently on sale for this convention. A three day ticket is 99 Euros. A three day gold-pass is 499 Euros, with all autographs included (autographs alone are 450 Euros), plus an official t-shirt, lanyard, and pin. You also get seating in the first rows. Every ticket includes a guaranteed seat, attendance to the guest-star-panels, the workshops and discussion-rounds, the exhibitons, the meeting-rooms and parties. The regular tickets are without any autographs included. Autographs can be purchased separately.
