There's been quite a bit of convention news that's come out in the past week. I'll be highlighting some of the major stuff below. However, if you're interested in quick updates (like a con's vendor tables selling out, etc.), then you should follow me on Twitter! I re-tweet all the significant convention news tidbits from various cons across the world.

If you have convention news you'd like to share, send an e-mail to kelly@conventionfansblog.com.

On with the news!

1. Toronto AnimeCon (DTAC 2009) Coverage

The website bakadays.com has posted a convention report for Toronto AnimeCon (DTAC 2009). It's mostly photos along with some brief descriptions. Although it was held at the Metro Convention Centre, fans apparently had limited space to walk around in. Additionally, many of the vendors had similar merchandise, which meant little variety. The site says overall the convention "wasn't bad" but didn't fulfill the attendees "needs".

2. PAX East 2010 Seeks Enforcers

Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East is currently looking for volunteers they call "enforcers." An application can be downloaded here. The questions asked are all pretty basic, such as if you've dealt with large crowds, have customer service experience, and if you're a gamer. Completed applications should be sent to Kristin: klindsay@penny-arcade.com. Better act fast. The spots are sure to fill up quickly. As a reminder, The Convention Fans Blog/Alltern8.com team will be attending PAX East.
