Wizard World Philly is Coming Up (And Did We Mention Patrick Stewart Will Be There?)

Wizard World Philly, also known as Philadelphia Comic Con, is less than two weeks away! The convention is happening June 11 - 13, 2010, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City, Philadelphia. It is hosted by Wizard Entertainment, a company that runs fandom conventions in major cities across the United States and in parts of Canada.

Wizard World Philly 2010 has a truly killer guest list, especially if you're a Star Trek or X-Men fan. On the guest list this year is Sir Patrick Stewart, known to sci-fi and fantasy fans as Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Professor Xavier. Also on the list is Star Trek's Avery Brooks, Cirroc Lofton, John de Lancie, Keegan de Lancie, Walter Koenig, and Brent Spiner. William Shatner was originally scheduled to appear, but he has since canceled his appearance due to a filming commitment.

Don't worry, if Star Trek isn't your thing, there are plenty of other guests from various franchises and genres: Stephen Baldwin, Linda Blair, Jake Busey, Bruce Campbell, Linda Hamilton, Ernie Hudson, Virginia Hey, James Marsters, Julie Newmar, Adam West, and many more (including dozens of comic artists and writers).

Show hours are as follows:
June 11, 2010 - 12 (noon) - 8pm
June 12, 2010 - 10am - 7pm
June 13, 2010 - 10am - 5pm

Tickets are available for purchase now, via the Wizard World Philly website. A standard one-day pass is $25. Weekend passes are $45.00. Prices will be higher at the door. There are VIP packages available, one of which is a special Bruce Campbell package. This package is $150 and includes:
