USA/Canada Fandom Conventions this Weekend – May 21 – 23, 2010
Looking for something to do this weekend? Believe it or not, almost every weekend there are dozens of fandom conventions occurring all over the world. Some are large corporate-run “official” conventions that may be hard to get into on short notice, and some are tiny fan-run conventions that would probably love to have a few more people show up. Below is a list of just some of the conventions happening this weekend in the United States and Canada, between May 21 – 23, 2010. This convention is hosted by Creation Entertainment, and features celebrity guests, special events, previews, vendors, screenings, auctions, contests, and "the best genre networking on the planet". Guests include Dario Argento, Robert Englund, Stuart Gordon, Jeffrey Combs, Adam Green, Tony Todd, Tom Holland, Joe Dante, and many many more. Tickets range in price from $249 (Gold package) to just $20 (for Friday general tickets). There are too many events to list, so be sure to check out the official website for details.

ImagiCon is a brand new science fiction and fantasy convention. It will feature celebrity guests, authors, an art exhibition, panel discussions, seminars, costumes, shows, workshops, and more. Guests include Larry Elmore, Grant Cooley, Ash Evans, John Billingsley, Sam Flegal, Christina Lynn Myers, Gil Gerard, Erin Gray, Kelly Smith, Timothy Zahn, Billy Tackett, Bonita Friedericy, Dr. Travis Taylor, and many many more. An adult ticket is $55 at the door. Single day passes are also available.
