Upcoming Stargate SG-1 / Atlantis / Universe Conventions for 2010

Just as we've done articles for upcoming Twilight and Doctor Who conventions, we wanted to highlight upcoming conventions for the Stargate franchise. Stargate, of course, includes the SG-1 series, Atlantis, and Universe. There are several fan-run Stargate conventions, as well as an "official" series of conventions hosted by Creation Entertainment. While you'll frequently find Stargate guests at multi-fandom cons around the world, the list below consists of cons dedicated entirely (or mostly) to Stargate.

Timegate
Holiday Inn Select, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
May 28 - 30, 2010

Timegate is a convention that combines Stargate and Doctor Who fandoms, but since it has "Gate" as part of the title, I've decided to include it in this list. Guests for Timegate 2010 include Carmen Argenziano, Paul Kasey, Dominic Glynn, Diana Botsford, Kelly Yates, David Read, Anthony Taylor, Louis Robinson, Jana Oliver, Berta Platas, Michelle Roper, Mike Langford, Andy Vetromile, Richard Launius, and Jason "PK" Levine. If you pre-register, tickets are $35 for the weekend. They will be $45 at the door.

Gatecon
Sheraton Wall Centre, Vancouver, Canada
July 8 - 11, 2010

In 2010 Gatecon is celebrating it's 10th year, and it has a rather extensive line up of guests. The list currently includes Paul McGillion, Cliff Simon, Tony Amendola, Erick Avari, John de Lancie, David Nykl, Corin Nemec, Vanessa Angel, Jerry Rector, and many more. Gatecon 10 features a single ticket type, unlike previous years. There will be a number of special add-ons available to all ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis. Details of those add-ons will be released shortly. The ticket is US$249. One such add-on is the banquet, which is $70.
