Toys,Toys,Toys: The Report From Toy Fair 2010!

The view from the showroom floor is a sight to behold. Koosh Balls fly through the air as radio controlled cars and robots race down the aisles of the Javits convention center in New York City. Toy Fair 2010 saw the worlds' top toy development and design companies come together for four days of toys, games, and all kinds of good stuff, and of course Alltern8.com was there.
Using the convention as a platform for debuting some truly stellar collectibles, manufactures the world over came to play this past week and you better believe they brought their A-games with them. Heavy hitter Hasbro Inc. lead the pack with an off-site showroom to unveil the latest and greatest in the way of action figures and movie collectibles, including some seriously sweet Iron Man 2 goodies that even got the attention of the films' star, Robert Downey Jr., along with a host of surprised fans.
Fans of the popular Final Fantasy RPG series have quite a year in store, as in addition to the series next chapter, Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix is releasing a slew of collectible figures and memorabilia collectors will be clawing for. These beautifully rendered figures are set to be released in waves beginning shortly after the game's release this March and following through the spring and summer.
Of course, long time fans of video game developer Square Enix know that the company has a few rare gems outside the realm of its Final Fantasy franchise. Old school gamers who remember the classic game Chrono Trigger have been crying out for more of the vintage RPG for years. Well, 2010 may be the year Chrono Trigger fans have been waiting for as the company's toy guys displayed a limited edition set of four amazingly detailed collectible statuettes based off of scenes from the game. The good news is all four pieces will be bundled together in a pack, the bad news however, is that it won't be available until August.
