SATURDAY NIGHT
The party later on that day was as wild and as colourful an affair as you could possibly find. Many teams had opted to attend in fancy dress, a detail helped by the fact that the winners also earned event points for their team. So in amongst the drinking, the partying and the dancing there was Slash (Guns n Roses), the cast of the Discword (including the Luggage), Star Trek (original series), a few Pokemon (including proof that one large guy plus body paint can be Snorlax), Poison Ivy, The Princess Bride and in a strange turn of coincidence, two Iron Men from different teams battling on the dance floor with air guitars to a certain song by Black Sabbath. If you don’t believe me then I would recommend checking out YouTube, it will be there soon enough.
With the quiz coming to an end with a quick music round in the club, it wasn’t a surprise to see lots of heads huddling together and the occasional effort on spying on neighbours, which is fun when you’re watching ninjas consulting with pirates on friendly terms for once.
All told it was a more sedate night than the Friday, not least of which because of the remembered hangovers, but also in respect to the knowledge of another early morning the next day. Leading me to..
SUNDAY
Again, with me being locked in a room with my gamers the next day, I couldn’t investigate much in the way of what was going on, though I do know of one incident in one game involving the goddess Kali, a Scuba Outfit, a grenade and a Zombie called Jeff. That, again, involved many of the party dying.
