Star Wars Celebration V official logoCheck the date - this is no April Fool's Day joke. Carrie Fisher is officially on the guest list for Star Wars Celebration V. Star Wars Celebration is the official Star Wars convention series, and it occurs every few years at different cities across the globe (the last two were in Japan and England). For 2010, it is happening in Orlando, Florida, USA. Star Wars Celebration V is being held August 12-15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center. And yes, Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher, is the first person to be added to the guest list.

Even though the convention hasn't had a single guest announcement until just recently and is still months away, two VIP ticket packages are already sold out. The Jedi Knight Package ($350) and The Jedi Master Package ($750) are both gone. Regular tickets are still available at the following rates (pre-registration only):

- Adult Four-Day Passes are $128
- Thursday Passes are $48
- Friday Passes are $48
- Saturday Passes are $54
- Sunday Passes are $48
- Kids Four-Day Passes are $54
- Kids One-Day Passes are $27

Although there are on-site ticket prices listed and apparently available, there's no telling how fast tickets will sell. If you are hell bent on attending, it is highly recommended that you pre-register to guarantee entry!

As for autographs, it has been confirmed that Carrie Fisher WILL be signing. However, "Official Pix" is the company being contracted to handle it. Prices for her autograph at Star Wars Celebration V have not yet been announced, but if her prices at C2E2 in Chicago are any indication, fans can expect to pay $40.00, plus another $5 for the photo itself. Whereas other conventions typically offer a chance to purchase a "professional" photo-op with guests, there isn't yet any indication that such an opportunity will be available at Star Wars Celebration V.

Aside from Carrie Fisher's attendance, fans can also expect panel discussions (both academic and fan based), an art show, costuming work shops, fan tables, a vendor hall, and more. There will also be special activities planned for kids and families.
