Interview:
An Exclusive Interview with The Guild's Vincent Caso
Vincent Caso stars in the hit webseries The Guild, as the group's rogue "Bladezz". Season four of the show has been announced, much to the excitement of fans everywhere (myself included). Alltern8.com recently had an opportunity to talk to Vincent about The Guild, his convention experiences, his thoughts on Twitter, and some of his other forthcoming projects.
Alltern8: How did you get bitten by the acting bug? Can you recall a specific moment where you realized it was something you wanted to pursue?
Vincent Caso: I've been doing a little acting here and there ever since I could talk, mostly in school productions and the like, and have always enjoyed it. But it wasn't until about age 13 that I decided I really wanted to pursue it as a profession. I suppose it just sort of popped into my head one day.
Alltern8: What were your initial thoughts when you did your audition for The Guild? What made you want to be a part of it?
VC: I approached it more or less like any other audition. I thought the script was pretty funny, and it seemed like a good project. I did not really have any preconceived notions or thoughts on it going in, but it sounded fun. Needless to say I was very excited when I got the part.
Alltern8: What was your first fandom convention experience like, as a guest?
VC: Well, my first convention experience as a guest was, in fact, my first convention experience period. It was extremely exciting. The enormity of it, and our turnout, greatly surprised me. It has only grown in the years since, and I am blown away every new convention that I go to.
Alltern8: When we interviewed Felicia, she told us that she has been asked to sign all sorts of weird things at cons (from babies to boobs). Have you ever been asked to sign anything you’d consider “odd”? What was it?
