Top 10 Most Anticipated Comics of 2010
It's only a couple more weeks until 2010 and so far it looks like it's going to be an interesting, if not great year in the comic book industry. I figured I'd take the time to look forward at some of the books and events that will be hitting the comic industry in 2010.

1. Siege. The culmination of Norman Osborn's Dark Reign hits this January with the Siege. It's a four issue mini-series written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Olivier Coipel. With Loki's manipulations coming to fruition and Norman Osborn mentally spiraling out of control, the duo set events in motion to storm Asgard, now floating above Broxton, Oklahoma. Luckily, Steve Rogers is finally back and with Thor and Iron Man by his side, the original Avengers are back to finally take Norman Osborn down.
Siege is a 4 issue mini-series at $3.99 each. There will also be a Siege Embedded miniseries, a Storming Asgard one-shot and multiple regular series tie-ins. Bendis claims that all you'll need to read is the main Siege miniseries and all the rest will enhance the story, much like they've done in the past with the Civil War and Secret Invasion minis.

2. Post-Siege Marvel Universe. How will the events of Siege change the Marvel U? Well they are pretty tight lipped about it as the event is just in its beginning stages. However, they've already hinted at a NEW New Avengers with many of the original Avengers back in the lineup. Matt Fraction takes the writing reigns on the Thor title following JMS' departure along with an unknown, big name artist. That kicks off with Marvel's entry into Free Comic Book Day 2010 with a Thor/Iron Man one shot, by Fraction and John Romita Jr. Will Tony Stark finally be back in favor with the American public? Who will be Captain America? And just what is this "Fallen (not final title)" at the end of Marvel's Siege checklist? But probably the most important question, just how many more Deadpool titles will Marvel make before the whole line implodes!
