Review:
I Got a Ton of Comics! My New Comic Reviews for the Week!
Alright, let's start this week out by getting the Blackest Night issues out of the way:

I must be on Blackest Night burnout because even the good issues are annoying me. First up, Green Lantern #50 which is a good issue with great art but why in god's name do they keep bringing Parallax back? It's a reminder of the horribleness of comics in the nineties and Johns did a great job at explaining it all away--so why do they keep bringing it back!
The majority of the issue deals with the New Guardians vs. Black Lantern Spectre, which is fine and dandy but can't we just get to the final battle with Nekron?

On to Atom and Hawkman #46, written by Geoff Johns and art by Ryan Sook, we get to once again see the Atom's pathetic life that's been driven into our heads since Identity Crisis. This is all well established information, plus all the same conversations with Black Lantern Jean Loring has been done in at least two other Blackest Night issues. So it's Atom vs. Hawkman and Hawkgirl then vs. Jean as Indigo-1 attempts to contact all the other Corps so they can come to Earth.
Unfortunately, everything I said was negative here but these really were not bad issues, but coming so late in the game it feels like even more filler.
And now to the Siege Tie-ins:

New Avengers #61 Siege in which both Caps kicks some butts and Spider-Man and Spider-Woman have this great banter together as they hang out on the rooftop. The issue is worth it just for that as it really is great fun to read. The only problem is if you look at the title of this issue (Avengers #61 Siege), it says Siege at the end of it. It says Siege on the cover, it's listed as a Siege tie-in on the checklist. But you know what? This issue has almost nothing to do with Siege. The only mention of it is as Spidey-Man and Spidey-Woman watch the Avengers Tower, they notice that things look busy over there, as if they are preparing for something. That is literally it. Way to go Marvel.
