Comics in Motion: 5 Killer Motion Comics That Will Blow You Away!

Motion Comics, are they just some form of cheap animation? Or is there something more to these new moving picture collaborations? One of the earliest forms of motion comics came in 2004 with the flash series Broken Saints. Its animation was crude and the soundtrack was made from whatever royalty free music the creators could get their hands on, but it was unique and believe it or not entertaining. Since then the art of the Motion Comic has evolve as major players began to experiment with the techinque and more and more independent publisher turned there attention to what comics in motion can really do.

In late 2009 the virtual animation studio Aniboom teamed up with major comic book publisher Marvel for a one of a kind contest that allowed aspiring animators to create their own Motion Comic based off of select scripts featuring poplar characters Wolverine, The Hulk and Fan Favorite Nova. The result was an awesome of array of fresh motion comics the best of which walked away with a seriously sweet grand prize. Yet the question remains...is there a future in Motion Comics? No one seems to know for sure but as more Youtube accounts begin to pop up featuring brand new motion comics and animatic trailers it's all to clear that someone out there likes watching them.
