Comic Books and Comedy: Writer Alex Zalben Talks Thor and The Warriors...Four?

The Mighty Thor has had some powerful allies over the years. He's teamed with Tony Stark as an Avenger, fought beside The Fantastic Four to throut the evil Doctor Doom, and of course who can forget his partnership with good ol' Beta Ray Bill, the alien who went toe-to-toe with the God of Thunder, and lived to fight another day. However, a new series from writer and comedian Alex Zalben will team the Asgardian Warrior with the not so fearsom foursome known as The Power Pack. Alex was nice enough to give Allter8.com the scoop on what to expect from this brand new limited series as well as some info on his other projects check it out!

Alltern8.com: First of all, your Comic Book Talk show Comic Book Club Live! Is based out of New York City, what is the best way for those living outside the city to check out your show ?

Alex Zalben: Fly to New York? Barring that, you can check out the podcast feed on iTunes for Comic Book Club: Live!, or watch our YouTube show at YouTube.com/ComicBookClub! But I’d err towards flying to NYC.

Alltern8.com: You’re a Comedian that writes comic books, but which came first the comedy or the comic books ?

AZ: Actually, both at the same time. When I was growing up, my father had comic book collections that I would devour, and my parents raised me on Marx Brothers movies and other older comedies. They also only fed me candy, so best childhood ever.

Alltern8.com: Comic Book Club Live! has had some amazing guests since it started, who would you say have been some of the more interesting guests so far?

AZ: It’s hard to choose just one, but Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman was pretty spectacular. Totally charming, great storyteller, and, you know, the voice of Batman. So there was that going on.
