Review:
Blackest Night #6 and Stupid is as Stupid Does
Okay so some people suck and just have to ruin everything. Last week both DC and Marvel did something really cool for both comic fans and retailers. Knowing that the last week of December there would be no shipment of new comics, they sent retailers Blackest Night #6 and Origins of Siege a week early with the only rule being do not break street date. It's something really cool that they didn't have to do. Naturally, someone immediately scanned one and threw it up on Bit Torrent sites. This person or persons couldn't wait just one week? They had to ruin the chance for something like this to happen again? People do dumb things and I really shouldn’t wonder about the moral fiber of people that steal content and post it online. But as always, Geoff Johns was gracious about it, saying he’s glad that people are so excited for Blackest Night.
Now on to Blackest Night #6--
All I can say is HOLY SCHNIKIES! This series just gets better with each issue. So many cool things happened. I don't want to give too much away, so under the picture will be some spoilers but many of those will be from the last issue of Blackest Night, which hopefully you’ve read. I will drop some hints on Blackest Night #6 that should send you screaming down to your comic book shop with such a need for it that it wil be like you’re wearing an orange power ring.

So last issue we were left with Nekron rising, using what appears to be a Black Lantern Batman to establish an emotional connection with all the super heroes that have been resurrected over the years. Once that tether has been made, Batman barfs out Black Lantern rings that seek out those hosts and all those resurrected heroes--Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow to name a few--become living Black Lanterns. It is revealed that Nekron was what kept those heroes from truly dying and he allowed them to come back to use them. He then tells “Bruce” to go away and he bursts into black goo. The rings take over all the resurrected super heroes except for Hal Jordan and Barry Allen.
