It's almost here, Free Comic Book Day, that one magical day of the year when small time comic book shops turn into mini cons and all the major publishers out there come together to give the fans what they want. Free Comics! That's right, this Saturday May 1st is the eight annual Free Comic Book Day, and it's looking like it's going to be one of the biggest ones yet. With creator signings and all kinds of free give aways there is bound to all sorts of craziness going on at your local comic book shop, but before you head out, we've got the goods on whats to expect:

1.The Time: You may want to call ahead for info here, but chances are the comics well be out on the shelves as soon as the doors open. So in others words, get to your shop early if you want to get the good stuff. Cause just like trick-r-treating, Free Comic Book Day is all about first come first serve.

2.The Comics: There are over 30 comic book publishers contributing to the event and each is giving out a unique comic book especially for the day. Ever been hesitant to shell out your hard earned cash on a comic your unsure of? Well now's your chance to check out some of the small comic books companies out there for free.
