Captain America Casting Update

Last week Marvel Studios confirmed that the actor Hugo Weaving is a lock for the part of of Johann Schmidt (AKA the Red Skull) for their upcoming film adaptation of Captain America.

This follows hot on the heels of earlier announcements that the actor Toby Jones had been chosen for the part of evil scientist Arnim Zola.

And that British actress Hayley Atwell was cast as Peggy Carter, the female lead in the film:

Of course, the casting of Captain America himself was only confirmed last month as Chris Evans, the actor previously known for playing Johnny Storm (AKA the Human Torch) in the Fantastic Four films produced by 20th Century Fox:

The actor Sebastian Stan, who can currently be seen in the film out now Hot Tub Time Machine, has been selected to play Captain America's sidekick Bucky.
