So, it's been 3 weeks now since Fantasy Flight Games officially announced that they were dropping both the CCGs they were publishing because sales weren't high enough. For those of you not in the know: FFG were running the UFS and Kingdom Hearts card games, which after 2 years of running have not shown enough profit for FFG to continue publishing them.
Now that there is no Official Play for UFS, fans are arranging their own tournaments whilst the KH TCG remains without any form of OP and a lack of translated cards. Some fans have taken it upon themselves to translate the sets that FFG were incapable of translating and are posting them on their own website. So, are there any UFS or KH TCG players here? If so, what's your opinion on FFG shutting down their card games? |

I like the Kingdom Hearts Trading Card Game, but the way FFG ran it was just terrible. Lack of OP, player support, and advertisement doomed it from the beginning and thus killed it now.
Don't know how bad it was for UFS, but I heard it was about the same. FFG just needs to stick with their board games and RPGs, that's all they are good for.

UFS wasn't terrible, but it was worse-off than when Sabretooth still owned it. Tournament support was difficult to come by since FFG only seemed interested in larger events.
KH could have been so much better if they'd only got some dedicated staff members and done an advertising push. As for what FFG needs to stick with, I would only want them to stick with their board games. The majority of their RPGs are written by companies that are now owned by FFG. |
