	Tomas looks around...noticing how many people seemed to have disappeared as soon as they were paid. "it has been hectic few days, but hopefully that has seen the end of the problems plaguing the town. I have sent for a DeGuarda patrol to assist the sherif with restoring order and ensuring that the bandits that were taking advantage of the situation are dealt with. Are you able to arrange for someone to begin to make assessment of any damage done, repair costs, that sort of thing? Hopefully Lord Tressam will agree to assist with some of the repairs. I will remain here for a day or too before I have to make my report. If you could send someone to ask the Sherrif to pop in when he has a moment I would like to have a word with him. Could I ask if any arrangements have been made to appoint a replacement mayor?" he thinks for a moment "Oh and if someone could also ask the priest to come for a word it would be appreciated"

	The Professor briefly looks up from a table off to one side - frowning over a set of spectacles. A tankard of ale several sheets of parchment & are spread out before him. The frown dissapears & his eyes seem somewhat distant before he dips a quill in to a bottle of ink & scribbles something in big red letters down one of the sheets shaking his head & muttering to himself. Without looking up he speaks up. "Hello Thomas. Any news of my escort yet? Do let me know if there's anything I can do in the meantime won't you my good man?" Edited by Rich - 01 Feb 2010 at 14:29

The patrol should be here in a day or two at most, I am not sure quite how far away they are at the moment but it wont be too far. As soon as they arrive we can be on our way. In the meantime perhaps there is something you can do for me... I would very much welcome your insight on something that occured to me" Tomas sits down at the Professor's table and they begin to talk quietly.

"Ah Sebastian, apologies for not arriving sooner, the Ritualists seemed to have some issue with the Teleportation Circle, something to do with the Sea between Monrovia and Terreseam I believe" The lady pauses briefly and regards Sebastians companion "Sorry, allow me to introduce myself, I am Ambassador Jhan Solstra of the Battlemages of Orun, and this is Ambassador Damian Harlak of the Elementalists College of Orun."

	Tomas jumps to his feet and offers a handshake and a slight bow "An honour and a pleasure to meet you both, I hope your journey was not too arduous. I am Tomas Skafer Ambassador of Assandria. I am afraid we have had a small amount of trouble here abouts which has left us a little behind schedule. If I may ask whether there is any objection to remaining in the village for a day or so before we travel onwards, I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience. Do you have any belongs ? I can have my man Robert take them to the accomodations if you wish" His whole demeanor seems to have changed, the relaxed way he has had with Sebastian is replaced by a more official Tomas and he seems nervous.

	"It is a pleasure to meet you Ambassador Skafer, we are more than happy to rest here for the night. Im sorry to hear your village has been troubled, and if myself or Ambassador Harlak can be of any assistance please let us know. Our belongings are within these Mystbags, and if you could have them taken to some rooms that would be wonderful." He indicates a small bag he has had carried across his shoulder and then turns to Sebastian "Sebastian, your wife added some of you travelling clothes to our Mystbags, apparently when the teleportation took you, it left your bag behind".

He turns back to the Ambassadors "My apologies...he is a little hard of hearing sometimes. Thank you for your kind offer, I believe that the problem is now resolved and hopefully it should be a restful evening for us all. Could I get you anything to eat or drink?"

	As the Ambassadors enter The Prof's face is unreadable. He stands up & greats them & gestures to seats. "Good to see you both. I heard that you had an unofficial detour, but at least you are here now. You missed all the fun... Thanks for the clothing!" He smiles at Vandar & introduces everyone. "Vandar, I believe Ellet's checking on one of the villagers. But I am sure he will turn up soon, would you like to wait with us or shall I let him know where to find you?"

	Any eagle-eyed may notice The Prof's eyes go wide & a slight flush when Jhan spoke. He clears his throat & watches Vandar (rubbing his let arm) as he talks. "Jhan, it seems I have recently manifested the not-so-hidden ability to find trouble. It all started when I arrived here on my own. I've been stabbed several times, had my arm crushed, oh the list goes on... But there are villagers here who have lost friends & relatives, they have far greater wounds & stories to tell than I do. I have been healed - they have far to go! But what worries me is that I fear this is only the beginning... I will of course let you read my report if you wish?" The prof looks back down at the parchment on the table. He sees that the ink has dried & gathers up the sheets.

	Jhan looks quite surprised at Sebastiens words... "Oh... err... Well when you sad trouble i assumed you just meant there had been a mugging in the village or somesuch matter... but this will require a full report yes. Perhaps I should place some wards around the tavern whilst we await our escort to the city? Defensive ones to render those whose intent is to do harm unconcious?"

He returns as the Ambassador's are speaking of the troubles. He flushes and looks uncomfortable. "On behalf of Assandria I offer my sincerest apologies, it is not our normal practice to allow visiting Ambassador's to come face danger or such circumstances. It seems that the patrol who should have been here to escort you to the City has been lost in the troubles and we await a replacement. I am hopeful that the troubles are now resolved and will have the local sherrif place some of his men on guard but understand if you wish to place further, non lethal, protections whilst you are here. " He pours the wine and steps back "If you wish to talk privately I can leave you to your discussions"

	Elet enters the tavern from one of the back rooms, he looks about the common room. He spots Vandar and moves towards her, as he passes Sebastian he pauses, "William is doing well, I believe in time he will make a full recovery. A little faith was all that was required." Elet then continues over to Vandar. "Is all in readiness then?"

Besides how were you to know that all of this would happen? I'm glad I came... Is Robert ok? I do hope he hasn't taken an interest in un-stitching the Mystbags or something?"
