A quick post to announce that we are just about to launch a new search for bloggers and writers looking to find a platform to share opinions and news on "what's on" out there on the convention circuit.

 

 

We are looking for people who (1) love attending events & conventions and (2) love to share a bit of post event news.

 

Nothing "War & Peace" size but a minimum 600 word follow up piece that gives our readers an idea of how an event went, features at the events & other news etc..

 

That's it, nice and simple !!!! all you need do is be able to get to an event, we will do the rest in getting you press passes, then your free to enjoy the day !! 

 

 

Simple... any event you tell us about, just give us the press contact details and as I have already said, we will get you in the door.

 

We get invitations all the time to all sorts of events, including some of the biggest game launches and major conventions... so we are never short of things to hand out.

 

Rewards ??

 

Getting to enjoy a FREE event  as well as all sorts of goodies (we like to give you what you'd like !)

Someone suggested, since ive been larping and making all sorts of kit, weapons and armour for over 20 years, maybe I'd be interested in sharing the wealth.

 

To give people ideas of what I can help with, here is a little list of the areas I can offer advice on, be it links, guids or just general advice.

 

Larp Weapons construction (both traditional foam sandwich methods & moulded methods)

Costume pattern advice (links to patterns, fabric and other usefull suppliers etc)

Prop Moulding (materials, methods - where to get good priced bits as well as answers and advice on foam densities, rubbers etc)

Leather Kit (leather suppliers, methods and patterns)

 

Bascially over the last 20 years (11 of which running lrpstore.com) I have come across a whole ton of source materials, along with choosing to learn most methods myself thanks to the kind advice of other well known craftsmen.

 

There are dozens of ways of doing anthing these days and if anyone else has another method, please feel free to join in, i'd always be happy to find alternatives.

Thanks for the post - we stopped the Vent server a month of so ago due to a lack of interest, not many other people were using the server - sorry should have put a post on the forum to that effect!

But apperently me and the guild can't log in on it for over two months at least now.

I thought it might've been a timely maintanance or something, it was a bit unclear what's up. So I just waited for a moment. Then after I left the guild, I recieved a message that it didn't worked anymore and just checked myself. 

Just to let you admins know about it.

It gives an error message wich is as followed:

Connected to server but unable to authenticate your login name and password. Make sure you entered the correct global server password or the password for your unique login name. You will be automatically banned if you try connecting with the wrong password several more times, so be sure you have the correct password before you try again. Passwords are case sensitive and must be completely retyped if you are making a change to it. The password will always be displayed as 8 (*'s or dots) even if the actual length of the password is shorter or longer then 8. You should also verify that you entered the correct IP address (or hostname) and Port number. If the port number is wrong you are connecting to the wrong server.

I used the same login info, wich I used when it was still working.

And the server info wich you've given in this topic.

But no effect.
